Jacqueline E. Price (Who prefers to just be called Jacqueline E.) was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland the second of eight children spending most of her childhood in the Parkheights and Woodland area of west Baltimore. Jacqueline published her first book (Reflections The View From My Window) in 2004 which she is no longer marketing (Those of you who are interested in obtaining a copy can send her an email and she will kindly send you a free signed copy).
The book is a compilation of some of her earlier works as well as some of the pieces that have been publish on various web sites. Some of you may have remember her from Def Poetry Jam's Website, Timbooktu, and the Advice Columnist for Dienamic Magazine or as a feature of Great Women in Poetry an event hosted by none other then High Priestess of Poetry Abena Disroe. (A rare occasion for Jacqueline E. as she considers herself to be more of a written Artist verses a Spoken Word Performer). A shy woman in her own words but those who know her beg the differ as she comes off so outspoken yet in a manner that is gentle and welcoming to everyone that come in contact with her.
Through all of the adversities she has overcome in her life to be in her company one would have never imagined that she has survived so much rising to the occasion as a woman of beauty, grace and poised. Jacqueline E. brings to everyone that she comes in contact with words of encouragement and enlightenment if I may quote her on one of her many phrases, "I give you my words for they are my only wealth so give them abundantly and sincerely". She is a woman who knows the power of words, the art of words, the beauty of words, words when they are sincere will deliver you to a place your heart and soul have never imagine.
Songwriting is something that Jacqueline has done all of her life, she would write parodies to other tunes she had heard, as a young girl she wanted to be a rapper writing hip/hop lyrics however let her tell it when she would try to rap them herself they would come out sounding like R/B songs LOL which she also writes. Jacqueline is a born Poetess an undisciplined pen she values herself for simply writing purely from her soul she is also a woman of concept bringing forth lyrics, hooks, poems, expressions, quotes, and short stories that are so thought provoking that they make us all think and reflect.
This dynamic woman who calls her self a work in progress shines in all that she does, a modest woman who never likes to be the center of attention she enjoys writing her gifts and welcome Artist who are equally as passionate as she is to bring their vision to her pieces. Jacqueline E. is also a writer of Sensual Erotica you see it must be sensual in her words anyone can be erotic but not everyone can be sensual. (I will leave that alone for now as she explains in her upcoming book so you all will have to wait until then to read what she has to say).
Currently Jacqueline is working with a few Producers and performers and will be introducing some of her finish projects real soon. Upcoming projects to stay tuned for, Sensual Erotica/Poetically Speaking the book and CD featuring other Artist all performing the works of Jacqueline E. Price) still bringing to it their own flavor, the CD will also include performances from the Divine Jacqueline E. herself. The book of thought which will include excerpts, expressions, and quotes from Jacqueline E., and many music projects.
When asked who would she love to work with she answered, "Stevie Wonder". Growing up I would read Stevie's lyrics, listen and daydream about meeting him and telling him in person how great he is, "Everyone has a dream and he is mine". Alecia Keys what a dynamic talent she is, Mariah Carey, what a voice, Chaka Khan just to have her do one of my pieces or a hook on one of my projects, Rachelle Ferrell she is an instrument, Gladys Knight and Patti Labelle they were like my Moms coming up all I had to do was listen and my soul was soothe, Beonyce she is just awesomely talented (and boy do I have a dance song for her to perform) Jahiem one of the best male vocalist I have ever heard (Anything need I say more) Celine Dion her voice is so amazing just to have her sing one of your songs is like finding a diamond in the rough awesome, Keyshia Cole who I feels has yet to sing that song that she is destine to sing (I think I have it for her) and last but not least a woman who I think can sing any genre of music the one and only Mary J. Blige I am so proud of her and what she has done through her music. There are so many Artist that I want to work with and in time it will come true.
Jacqueline E. a single mother of two wonderful children Kyenyawna and Malcolm loves spending time with her kids she is a lover of music, fashion, and loves cooking meals for her family and spending time with her many nieces and nephews recently she lost one of her nephews to a fatal car accident he was her brother only son Timothy Lorenzo Bates Jr. This was a tough time for her and she still struggles everyday to with the pain of loosing him she is bless to have the love of her family and friends whom she cherishes a great deal. Jacqueline E. dream of winning at least on Grammy for Songwriter of The Year, (A dream I am sure will someday come true) A very approachable woman who is about business and welcome all Artist whether you are at the beginning of your career or a legend she will give your project equal attention and love.
